Job summary

The Homestead at Montrose is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Montrose, CO to oversee the daily upkeep of a healthcare facility, ensuring safety and aesthetics for residents and staff. This role emphasizes preventative maintenance, leadership, and on-site operations.

The position offers Monday–Friday 7:00am–3:30pm with occasional weekends; base salary ranges from $56k to $66k per year depending on experience, and a benefits package supports professional growth and stability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Trade/vocational graduate with courses in blueprint reading, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration and electricity preferred.
• Minimum of three years full-time experience in construction or maintenance of equipment, utilities and buildings preferred.
• Knowledge of state building, plumbing and electrical codes and ordinances.
• Knowledge of basic machinery and tools.
• Ability to operate lawn and yard equipment.
• Boiler’s license (1st class and above) where applicable.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, plastering and painting.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for overall maintenance of facility.
• Responsible for preventative maintenance, painting and repairs to provide a safe, attractive environment for residents, staff and visitors.
• Develops and reviews Maintenance policies and procedures annually.
• Assumes responsibility for hiring, training, counseling and/or termination of maintenance personnel as necessary.
• Assigns, schedules, supervises and evaluates maintenance personnel.
• Repairs and paints the building exterior as needed.
• May be on-call for emergencies twenty-four hours a day.
• Schedules and expedites work order requests.
