Job summary

The Lodge at Sandhills Carolina in Pinehurst, NC is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead the maintenance team in a brand-new facility. This role focuses on coordinating daily maintenance operations, supervising staff, and ensuring safety and compliance across the campus.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and healthcare experience is preferred. The position emphasizes collaboration with residents, families, employees, and vendors in a supportive care environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in healthcare settings preferred.
• Ability to plan and implement goals for the Maintenance Department.

Responsibilities

• Address day-to-day maintenance functions of the facility and supervise maintenance assistants.
• Coordinate routine services with the Administrator/Director of Nursing and complete reports.
• Oversee outside vendors and contracted staff as needed.
• Manage IDs and access for secured doors.
• Implement recommendations from Infection Control, Safety, and QA committees.
• Assist in orientation and training of new hires.
• Assign tasks and daily work according to guidelines.
• Maintain Safety Data Sheets for hazardous chemicals.
• Conduct routine inspections and recommend equipment/supply needs.
