Job summary

Beloit Health System, Inc. is seeking an Operating Engineer to join the Engineering team for the 1st shift (6:00 am–2:30 pm), 40 hours per week with on-call rotation.

You will operate, maintain, and repair hospital facilities and equipment, focusing on HVAC, boilers, pumps, and related systems to keep environments safe and comfortable for patients and staff. You will diagnose equipment issues, document maintenance, and ensure compliance with code requirements while coordinating with service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years verifiable experience in building maintenance including HVAC and boiler operation.
• Must maintain local and State licensing requirements such as boiler operators, HVAC, and underground tank operator.
• Must be able to organize and prioritize multiple demands.
• Must maintain valid drivers' license and obtain DOT drivers endorsement for company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair Beloit Health System facilities and equipment.
• Diagnose equipment failures and coordinate with staff and contractors.
• Maintain boiler, chiller, HVAC, and related systems to peak efficiency.
• Adhere to maintenance schedules and document work performed.
• Maintain safety practices, lockout/tagout procedures, and regulatory records.
• Participate in committees related to building performance and supervise maintenance staff.
