Job summary

Sanford Health's Good Samaritan Society - Specialty Care Community in Robbinsdale is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a safe, sanitary environment in patient and resident areas, following infection control and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include cleaning patient/resident rooms, hallways, restrooms, lobbies, and other areas; using PPE, emptying waste baskets, sweeping, mopping, waxing floors, and assisting in laundry as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and methods is helpful.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and assigned areas by infection control and safety guidelines.
• Empty waste baskets, sweep, mop, wax, or polish floors and clean areas using appropriate equipment.
• Clean patient/resident rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and other areas to meet health standards.
• Wear proper PPE and keep storage and equipment tidy; assist in laundry as appropriate.
• May be exposed to noise from equipment and be on feet for long periods; may require variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
