Job summary

Sanford Health in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a safe, sanitary environment in patient areas and common spaces by following infection control and safety guidelines. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Knowledge of materials, equipment and cleaning methods and cleaning chemicals is helpful.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and assigned areas by following infection control and safety guidelines.
• Clean floors, restrooms, lobbies, lounges, corridors, and other areas as needed.
• Wear proper PPE and keep storage, equipment, and carts stocked and tidy.
• Assist in laundry areas as appropriate and use available technology as needed.
