Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean and safe environment in a 96-bed facility in Robbinsdale, MN. This PRN role involves housekeeping tasks across patient and resident areas, with flexible hours and potential for overtime.

Responsibilities include floor care, waste handling, PPE usage, and possible laundry support. The position emphasizes infection control, safety, and high-quality service for residents and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to use a computer is helpful.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and assigned areas following infection control and safety guidelines.
• Perform cleaning tasks such as emptying waste baskets, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, or polishing floors.
• Wear appropriate PPE and keep storage and equipment clean and stocked.
• May assist in laundry areas and use technology applications as available.
• Hours vary; overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required.
