Job summary

Lexington Health seeks a dedicated environmental services associate to perform cleaning tasks across hospital and related areas, maintaining a healthy, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment for patients and staff.

You will follow written guidelines, safety protocols, and disaster and safety training, while providing positive customer relations and timely, reliable service in a fast-paced health care setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, understand, and carry out written guidelines, procedures.
• Must be able to interpret and follow labeled direction associated with use of cleaning products and other items.
• Must be able to comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions and requests in a manner to accomplish tasks in an appropriate and timely manner.
• Must be able to understand and use computer operations associated with review and approval of personal time, accomplishing annual on-line mandatory training and updating personal information in the hospital computer database.

Responsibilities

• Maintains an optimistic, professional, career oriented demeanor and follows Hospital Service Expectations.
• Performs full range cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and supplying materials to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Servicing dispensers with paper and soap products and disposing of solid waste in accordance with proper protocol.
• Adheres to safe work practices, reports needs, and maintains attendance and timely clocking as per department protocol.
• Performs cleaning duties in various hospital areas and supports disaster and safety guidelines.
• Interacts with diverse populations and supports non-English speaking patients and visitors.
• Attends in-service education programs to improve cleaning knowledge and skills.
