The Environmental Services Technician II at nshs in Chicago supports a clean, safe, and infection-free hospital environment. You will perform housekeeping and sanitation tasks following hospital protocols to protect patients and staff.

Hours are rotating between 8am-4:30pm, with per diem as needed, Monday through Friday and occasional weekends. You will work with the Environmental Services team and report to the Supervisor, contributing to patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• High School required.
• 1 year of experience in environmental services or healthcare housekeeping.
• CIC certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, public areas, and staff spaces according to hospital protocols.
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces to prevent infection spread.
• Maintain organized cart and stock cleaning supplies.
• Follow infection control guidelines and isolation procedures when needed.
• Report safety hazards or infection control breaches to supervisor.
• Safely collect, transport, and dispose of medical waste and trash.
• Operate and maintain environmental services equipment such as vacuums and buffers.
• Collaborate with team to complete tasks on schedule and train new technicians.
