CHS Career Site is seeking an Environmental Services Worker II to clean, sanitize and maintain hospital facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors. You will perform floor care, waste handling, linen processes, and general cleaning following infection control standards.

The role requires knowledge of cleaning procedures, ability to handle biohazardous waste, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in environmental services or hospital facility maintenance.
• Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures and floor care techniques.
• Ability to safely handle biohazardous and infectious waste per infection control standards.
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules and safety procedures.
• Good communication with staff, patients, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Performs floor care: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, shampooing as needed.
• Collects and disposes of waste per policy, including biohazardous materials.
• Handles soiled linens and replaces with clean bags.
• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.
• Responds to spills with proper disinfection and safety measures.
• Moves furniture or equipment as needed for cleaning or relocation.
• Monitors supply usage and stores supplies safely.
• Communicates maintenance or repair needs to supervisor.
• Maintains cleaning logs and documents completed tasks.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains attendance.
• Complies with all hospital policies and standards.
