Job summary

Good Samaritan Canistota Center in Canistota, SD is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a safe, sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and staff, following infection-control and safety guidelines. The position is full-time, with a 5:30am–2:00pm day shift (40 hours weekly) and a location premium of $2.50/hr where applicable.

A high school diploma and at least six months of housekeeping/cleaning experience are preferred, with strong customer service and communication

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to use cleaning equipment and knowledge of cleaning chemicals is helpful.
• Strong customer service and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and assigned areas following infection control guidelines.
• Clean floors, restrooms, lobbies, and common areas using appropriate methods and equipment.
• Assist in laundry areas as appropriate and manage supplies for daily operations.
