Job summary

Good Samaritan Canistota Center in Canistota, SD is hiring an Environmental Services Technician for a full-time day shift (5:30am–2pm) with a 40-hour week. You will maintain a safe, sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and common areas, following infection control and safety guidelines.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prior cleaning experience; strong customer service and communications skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to use computer and prior cleaning experience is helpful.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and areas.
• Clean floors, restrooms, lobbies, and other areas per guidelines.
• Use PPE and keep supplies organized; assist in laundry areas when appropriate.
• Lift up to 40–50 lbs and be on feet most of the shift; may work overtime and weekends.
