Job summary

Good Samaritan in Canistota, SD, is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a safe, sanitary environment across patient and resident areas. You will perform cleaning tasks, operate equipment, and follow infection control guidelines to ensure a clean environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Shift is day, 40 hours per week, with every other weekend and holidays. Location includes a $2.50/hr location premium where applicable and a supportive not-for-profit culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to use computer is helpful.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills required.
• Previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, sanitary environment in patient/resident areas.
• Clean patient/resident rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms and other areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use protective gear properly.
• Assist in the laundry areas as appropriate.
• May use technology applications as applicable.
