Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking an Environmental Services Technician at our Canistota, SD location. This full-time, day-shift role includes maintaining a clean, safe environment for patients, residents, and staff, with attention to infection control and safety standards.

The position requires basic cleaning experience, good customer service, and reliability. Expect to work Monday through Friday, with every other weekend and holiday, and a location premium of $2.50/hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to use computer and prior cleaning experience is helpful.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and assigned areas.
• Follow infection control, safety and procedural guidelines.
• Perform cleaning tasks: empty waste baskets, sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors.
• Assist in laundry areas and potentially use technology applications.
