Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking an Environmental Services Technician in Canistota, SD to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, residents, visitors and staff. Responsibilities include cleaning, waste management, and equipment operation while following infection control and safety guidelines.

The role is full-time with day shifts, every other weekend and holidays; location premium of $2.50/hr applies. Must demonstrate strong customer service and teamwork in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Experience in healthcare environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and assigned areas by infection control and safety guidelines.
• Perform cleaning tasks including emptying waste, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing or polishing floors and operating cleaning equipment.
