Job summary

Forefront is seeking an Environmental Services Manager to lead day-to-day operations of environmental services in a healthcare setting. You will supervise front-line staff, ensure a clean, safe, and healing environment, and support the Director with strategic planning and reporting.

This is a salaried exempt leadership role with extended hours as needed. The position emphasizes OSHA/CMS/TJC compliance, collaboration with clinical teams, and ongoing process improvement to enhance patient

Qualifications

• Leadership experience supervising environmental services teams.
• Knowledge of OSHA/CMS/TJC regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to develop department schedules, assign tasks, and monitor productivity.

Responsibilities

• Supervise EVS supervisors, technicians, and laundry staff.
• Oversee laundry operations, staffing, workflow and infection prevention practices.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, CMS, TJC and other regulations.
• Develop departmental schedules, assignments and KPI-based performance standards.
• Conduct inspections and quality audits of patient/resident areas and public spaces.
• Manage inventory, equipment maintenance and supply orders.
• Implement performance metrics and track KPIs for efficiency and service quality.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support infection prevention and patient safety initiatives.
• Support the Director in reporting, performance evaluation and new programs.
