Job summary

Forefront is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean, safe environment in a healthcare setting. You will perform daily cleaning, floor care, waste management, and laundry, guided by infection prevention protocols and company policies.

The role is full-time, hourly, non-exempt with a pay rate of $15.50 per hour. You will support the Supervisor and Manager and participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience performing cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing in healthcare settings.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Experience with laundry duties and linen handling.
• Familiarity with infection prevention protocols (OSHA CMS TJC).
• Effective communication and teamwork in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing of patient areas, public spaces, and workspaces per standards.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies safely and efficiently.
• May perform laundry duties including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and delivering linens.
• Follow infection prevention and safety protocols and regulatory standards.
• Assist in setting up rooms, moving furniture, and light maintenance as needed.
• Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to the Supervisor.
• Document completed work and adhere to checklists; participate in training and meetings.
