Compass Group USA's TouchPoint unit seeks an Environmental Services Manager at UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham to lead the department's operations, training, and service delivery. You will coordinate tasks, manage budgets, and liaison with administration to ensure outstanding service.

You will oversee staffing, implement policies, and drive quality initiatives while maintaining regulatory compliance; strong budget and people skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 4 years of support services, military, housekeeping, and/or facilities maintenance experience.
• 1+ years of supervisory/management experience.
• Strong work ethic, drive, and initiative for quality and customer service.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills both one-on-one and in group situations.
• Ability to utilize a participative approach to managing staff.
• Understanding of budgeting processes and awareness of profit and loss concepts.
• Excellent administrative and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee the department's operational needs.
• Coordinate tasks of department associates and assist in training and development.
• Serve as liaison between administration and unit departments; provide high level of service.
• Manage department financial data and statistics.
• Monitor unit expenditures and develop operating budget within approved limits.
• Coordinate housekeeping activities with other departments.
• Plan, organize, direct, and supervise department functions and activities.
• Establish work standards and workflows; implement policies/procedures.
• Mentor staff creativity and innovation; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to facility goals and performance plans; apply Total Quality Management.
