Job summary

Cherokee Indian Hospital Authority is seeking a Environmental Services Supervisor to oversee the EVS department, ensuring high hygiene standards for patients, visitors, and staff. You will manage staffing, schedules, and inventory, and coordinate with hospital leadership to maintain compliance with infection control and safety policies.

The role requires supervisory EVS experience in a healthcare setting, with relevant certifications and NC driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; healthcare experience preferred.
• T-CHEST or CHEST Certification required through AHE; CSCT or CNACC preferred.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license.
• Minimum 3 years EVS experience with at least 2 years supervisory.
• Knowledge of OSHA and infection control guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Supervises EVS department resources and staff performance.
• Oversees waste management per regulations.
• Performs quality improvements and reporting.
• Maintains EVS inventory, supplies, and equipment repairs.
• Adjusts staff schedules for absences and peaks.
• Coordinates with EVS manager and other departments.
• Supervises subcontractors and evaluates performance.
• Complies with safety, risk management and infection control standards.
