Job summary

Crothall Healthcare Environmental Services Intern for Summer 2027 is a paid internship with an hourly pay range of $21.00 to $23.00. The role includes working with Environmental Services leaders to develop skills in hospital support and patient experience, and may involve training frontline staff, vendor relations, and operational tasks.

Interns will gain hands-on experience in a real-world healthcare setting, with opportunities to learn about safety, quality assurance, and professional growth

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled college/university junior or senior.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written formal and oral presentations.
• Ability to maintain organization and establish priorities in an ever-changing environment.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills.
• Must have experience in the use of Windows based office software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Interest in pursuing a career with Crothall Healthcare and joining Accelerated Manager Program after college graduation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute operational standards.
• Participate in department safety and maintain a safe work environment at all times.
• Respond to concerns and requests with a sense of urgency and take necessary corrective action when needed.
• Assure that the integrity of security at the facility is maintained at all times.
• Take a proactive approach to identify and correct facility quality assurance concerns; timely follow-up required.
• Bring creativity and innovation to the Crothall Healthcare program.
• Ensure that staff receive proper orientation, initial, and ongoing training.
• Provide and monitor individual guidance and motivation to associates to enable each one to perform to her/his fullest potential.
• Handle special requests or projects as assigned.
