Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Custodian I at Kerrville State Hospital. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe environment for patients and staff, including floors, restrooms, and patient areas, while following infection control procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities include routine cleaning, waste disposal, reporting repairs, and supporting disaster response or COOP activations when needed.

Qualificações

• Knowledge of cleaning methods, standards and sanitation regulations.
• Skills in operating environmental services cleaning equipment.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand/walk on hard floors for extended period.
• Ability to work harmoniously with coworkers and patients.
• Ability to work irregular hours.
• Ability to work safely with chemicals.

Responsabilidades

• Attends work regularly and may work a specific shift schedule or rotating schedule.
• Maintains a clean working environment.
• Cleans floors and applies finishes; vacuums as required.
• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms and empties trash to prevent disease transmission.
• Cleans floors, walls and furniture; remakes beds and disposes trash.
• Maintains interiors/exteriors and reports needed repairs.
• Cleans nurse’s stations and isolation areas to prevent transmission of diseases.
• Completes documentation in a timely manner.
• Performs additional duties including disaster response or COOP activation.
