Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Custodian II at Vernon State Hospital. The role performs journey-level custodial work, cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining facilities to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Responsibilities include operating floor maintenance equipment, restocking supplies, and assisting in minor repairs. This position includes compliance with health policies, potential overtime, and a commitment to teamwork.

Formación

• Six months’ work experience required.
• Experience in custodial or environmental services preferred.
• Willingness to work overtime/rotating shifts as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Performs custodial functions: sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning windows and fixtures.
• Maintains floors, restrooms, nurses’ station and other areas per procedures and safety rules.
• Cleans and maintains interior/exterior of buildings; empties trash; reports repairs.
