Job summary

Highmark Health offers the Summer 2027 Enterprise Risk Strategy Undergraduate Internship. The program provides hands-on exposure to enterprise risk management, governance, compliance, and strategic planning within a complex healthcare environment.

As part of the Enterprise Risk Strategy team, interns work with risk professionals and leaders to strengthen governance processes and gain experience in risk reporting, data analysis, and strategic initiatives supporting organizational decision-making

Qualifications

• Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.
• Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Health Informatics, Economics, Healthcare Administration, Information Security, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to plan assignments and resolve day-to-day operational issues.
• Under supervision, provide entry-level professional services aligned with day-to-day objectives and receive mentorship from senior staff.
• Participate in projects to develop professional skills and contribute to organizational objectives.
• Assist in planning and implementing unit projects and initiatives within area of expertise.
• Conduct research and reporting with recommendations or action proposals as requested by management.
• Engage in related studies or enrichment programs aligned with operating unit objectives.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
