Job summary

Travelers in South Bend, IN is hiring an Energy and Facilities Manager - Healthcare to lead energy management across facilities, oversee the Central Energy Plant, and mentor staff on O&M and energy usage. The role focuses on optimizing energy, coordinating with EPC teams, and ensuring reliable plant operations.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in facility or central plant management, hospital project exposure, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience managing multiple sites or Asset Managers.
• Facility management experience in central plant or mechanical facilities.
• Mechanical construction with a large mechanical contractor or MEP design firm.
• Hospital setting experience in the past 3 years preferred.
• Proficient in building codes and related standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review energy usage daily and guide best practices.
• Provide guidance on energy strategies to the owner.
• Oversee Central Energy Plant operations and maintenance, including subs and service providers.
• Oversee Maintenance Reserve Accounts for the CEP.
• Coordinate with EPC to align engineering, procurement and construction with O&M.
• Organize on-site troubleshooting with remote support teams.
• Lead one or more Asset Manager teams.
• Mentor owner's staff on O&M and energy usage.
