Job summary

Arup is seeking a Healthcare Electrical Engineering Leader in San Francisco to guide a growing healthcare group. You will oversee multidisciplinary teams, ensure design excellence, and drive business growth with clients and partners.

This is a senior role focused on delivering high-quality, compliant electrical systems for complex healthcare facilities. You will mentor engineers, manage project delivery from concept through completion, and contribute to Arup’s West Coast healthcare strategy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience designing electrical systems for healthcare facilities.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Minimum 8 years of experience leading multidisciplinary healthcare projects.
• Deep knowledge of applicable healthcare regulations and codes.

Responsibilities

• Drive business development through strategies, proposals, and client presentations, building long-term relationships to generate opportunities.
• Represent Arup externally with healthcare clients and industry partners to strengthen market profile.
• Serve as Engineer of Record and lead delivery of complex, multidisciplinary healthcare projects across the region.
• Own project delivery from concept through completion, overseeing scope, schedule, budget, risk, and team performance.
• Provide technical leadership with high-quality, code-compliant electrical designs and QA/QC processes.
• Translate client needs into technically sound, innovative healthcare solutions.
