Job summary

Apogee Consulting Group seeks an Electrical Designer to design and coordinate building electrical systems from concept to construction. You will produce drawings for power, lighting, grounding, and low-voltage systems, and coordinate with engineers and other disciplines.

The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering, at least four years of experience, and knowledge of NEC/NFPA standards. Travel up to 20% is possible; FE is preferred with PE in progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in engineering.
• Minimum four years of progressive electrical and/or technology design experience.
• FE exam passed; pursuing PE preferred.
• LEED, RCDD, CEM, LC or other certifications preferred.
• Travel up to 20% depending on project.

Responsibilities

• Assist electrical engineers and designers in developing building electrical and technology system designs.
• Design and produce construction drawings for power distribution, lighting, grounding, and low-voltage systems.
• Create detailed construction plans and schematics using CAD/REVIT.
• Know NEC and NFPA standards; perform field investigations and site visits.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and review product data submittals.
