Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College of Evansville is seeking adjunct faculty to support the Healthcare Specialist program. Instructors will teach students who may pursue careers as Healthcare Specialists or Clinical Support Assistants.

Courses are held at the Deaconess Health Science Building Downtown, Evansville, IN, and adjuncts are hired each semester on an as-needed basis. Responsibilities include delivering instruction, creating syllabi, maintaining attendance and grading records, using

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years directly related work experience.
• Holds certification or licensure in a health care discipline providing care or service directly to patients.

Responsibilities

• Teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes.
• Provide a syllabus appropriate to course being taught and follow syllabus content.
• Maintain attendance and grading records per college policy.
• Meet all scheduled classes and use technology (Blackboard, Canva, PowerPoint).
• Respond to student questions outside class time and resolve issues with program coordinator.
• Promote diversity and inclusive practice in all activities.
