Job summary

Zenith Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated Food Service Director to lead our culinary team and ensure outstanding dining experiences for residents and patients.

You will oversee daily operations, menu planning, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and collaborate with dietary consultants to continually improve service quality.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to manage staff, budgets, and quality standards in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Strong leadership and staff supervision skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with residents, patients, families, and staff.
• Knowledge of dietary regulations and standards (HIPAA and Joint Commission).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise food service staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance.
• Develop and implement menus, nutritional plans, and policies.
• Oversee food preparation, production, and presentation.
• Coordinate with dietary consultants and department heads to ensure regulatory compliance and optimize operations.
• Develop and manage budgets for food, supplies, and labor.
• Meet with residents, patients, and families to gather feedback and implement improvements.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary food service environment adhering to OSHA and local health codes.
