Job summary

Sunterra Springs in Springfield is seeking a Dietary Manager to oversee the Food and Nutrition Services department, manage budgets, and ensure safe, therapeutic meals in accordance with care plans. You will lead a skilled team, coordinate with the interdisciplinary group, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

The role requires certification in dietary and/or food service management, with a plan to attain relevant certifications within nine months, plus prior healthcare foodservice

Qualifications

• Certification as a dietary manager (must become certified within nine months)
• Certification as a food service manager (must become certified within nine months)
• Has similar national certification for food service management and safety from a national certifying body
• High school diploma or higher in food service management or hospitality is preferred
• Two years’ experience in foodservice management in a nursing facility setting

Responsibilities

• Oversees the budget and purchasing of food and supplies, and food preparation, services, and storage.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary environment.
• Overseeing safe and timely meal preparation according to residents’ needs and care plans.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and QAPI activities.
• Recruits, hires, trains, coaches, evaluates, and disciplines staff in the Food and Nutrition Services department.
