Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide hands-on technical assistance to the user community.

You will image PCs, laptops, and Macs, troubleshoot hardware, software, and peripherals, and support printers and network ports within a healthcare environment. The role requires strong communication, professionalism, and the ability to deliver responsive IT support across hospital and clinic locations, including remote users and moves.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months to 2 years IT support experience ideal.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Clear, professional communication with users.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting to end users.
• Image PCs, laptops, and Mac computers using SCCM and Casper.
• Repair and maintain PC hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Install and configure printers and related peripherals.
• Activate network ports and perform desktop patching within IDFs.
• Support remote users and remote sites.
• Assist with user and departmental moves as required.
• Maintain workstations across hospital and clinic locations.
• Prepare defective hardware parts for shipment to manufacturers.
• Maintain inventory of spare equipment and replacement parts.
• Attend vendor training for workstations and peripherals.
• Follow IT processes, procedures, and best practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve IT support processes.
• Escalate issues to IT management when necessary.
• Communicate issues to management for timely resolution.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct with users.
• Participate in on-call support duties as required.
