Job summary

Stantec is seeking a project architect/designer to support Acute and Non-Acute healthcare projects. You will work under guidance from the PM/Project Architect and engage with teams, consultants, and owners across design and construction phases to deliver quality outcomes.

You will lead design concepts, coordinate building systems, apply accessibility and code requirements, and contribute to sustainable design initiatives while reviewing shop drawings and managing documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience, preferably on large teams with healthcare or institutional clients.
• Healthcare experience (OSHPD/HCAI) is desired.
• LEED credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support all project phases from validation to close-out on healthcare projects.
• Coordinate with project team, consultants, contractors, and Owners.
• Lead design discussions and critiques with the team.
• Develop design concepts using sketches, physical/electronic models, diagrams and massing studies.
• Utilize BIM to develop 3D models and coordinate building systems.
• Review drawings and submittals, respond to RFIs, and prepare site observation reports.
• Ensure design intent and sustainability principles are maintained.
