Job summary

CalOptima Health is seeking a Senior Clinical Data & Reporting Analyst to design, develop, and maintain clinical reporting data assets. This role supports data acquisition, reporting, dashboards, and AI-enabled analytics, collaborating across IT and clinical teams.

Partial Telework is approved, with occasional office presence in Orange, CA. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in data analytics/engineering, strong SQL and BI tool experience, and expertise with Snowflake or comparable cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data engineering, healthcare informatics or related field plus 5 years of professional data/analytics engineering experience.
• 3 years of experience with healthcare payer data.
• 5 years of experience developing SQL-based transformations, datasets, stored procedures or equivalent data models using BI tools like Power BI/Tableau/SSRS.
• 3 years of experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms including data modeling and pipelines.
• 3 years of experience designing analytics data products for AI-enabled consumption using Snowflake Cortex or Fabric.
• 3 years of experience with utilization management or regulated healthcare payer data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead reporting and analytics development and data engineering activities.
• Collaborate with enterprise data warehouse and platform teams on Snowflake and modern data platforms.
• Ensure data quality, validation, and governance for clinical reporting assets.
• Develop source-to-target mappings, data models, and dashboards for operational and regulatory reporting.
• Provide training and guidance to team members and manage data requests and timelines.
