Job summary

OU Health seeks an Enterprise Data Architect to lead the design and maintenance of the Enterprise Data Platform and Architecture Framework. You will build scalable, secure data systems and govern data across clinical, research, and administrative domains to support analytics and compliance.

Collaborating with clinical, IT, and research leaders, you will drive data integration, modeling, and security strategies, ensuring a future-ready analytics environment for diverse data needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• 5 years of experience in data architecture or healthcare IT.
• Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL and cloud platforms.
• Experience with healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7).
• Proficiency in data modeling, ETL tools, and data integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable, secure data systems (warehouses, lakes, real-time platforms) for enterprise analytics.
• Define and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models across clinical and operational domains.
• Design and oversee ETL/ELT pipelines enabling data flow between entities.
• Collaborate with clinical, research, and admin stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Monitor and optimize database performance; implement new technologies as needed.
• Implement robust security and backup procedures to protect patient data.
• Prepare system documentation and architecture blueprints; mentor team members.
• Identify opportunities to enhance data infrastructure and analytics capabilities.
