Job summary

ParetoHealth is seeking a Data Manager to enable strategic decision-making through robust healthcare data management. You will liaison between technical data work and business strategy, supporting intelligence across the organization.

You will report to the VP of Analytics and work with medical, pharmacy, and related datasets, shaping product strategy, underwriting, and operations in a fast-growing company with an engaging hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in a healthcare-based data management role.
• 3+ years' experience working directly with administrative healthcare data (medical and pharmacy claims, enrollment data).
• Deep understanding of database models, ETL tools, and common quality challenges in healthcare data.
• Strong SQL skills, including building, optimizing, and validating complex queries.
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/data related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Bonus: Experience with Salesforce data, vendor utilization/savings data, and/or stop loss data.
• Bonus: Familiarity with AWS Serverless Services and data tools (S3, Lambda, Glue, Sagemaker, EMR).
• Bonus: Python for analysis and data wrangling.

Responsibilities

• Support End-to-End Analyses across teams and initiatives.
• Work directly with large, messy healthcare datasets including medical and pharmacy claims.
• Build and maintain robust SQL queries and analytical datasets.
• Ensure data assets are accurately managed and usable for business purposes.
• Support data integration efforts and collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements.
• Partner with Data Engineering to create and maintain data structures and models.
• Coordinate with data suppliers to ensure timeliness and accuracy of inbound data sources.
• Follow and enhance data quality assurance processes and governance policies.
• Create metadata to ensure data is well documented and understood.
• Collaborate within the team to ensure sources are created, maintained, and documented.
