Job summary

HMSA seeks a data analytics professional to manage data sources, prep data, and apply descriptive to prescriptive analytics for healthcare projects. You will document data sources, methods, and outcomes, and ensure reproducibility and governance across initiatives.

The role requires strong communication, dashboards experience, and proficiency with OLAP tools, SQL, and statistical software. Collaboration with department heads is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and four years of related experience or two years of Healthcare Analytics experience; or an equivalent combination.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of data types and data reliability.
  • Strong problem solving and data collection, analysis, interpretation.
  • Strong understanding/use of dashboards and data visualization tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
  • Proficiency with OLAP tools and databases.
  • Knowledge of SQL, R or SAS/SPSS.

Responsibilities

  • Lead data management tasks: source review, data prep, and data quality checks.
  • Apply analytics (descriptive/predictive/prescriptive) and document methods and sources.
  • Define project objectives, milestones, and deliverables with stakeholders.
  • Present findings to department heads and external customers in a clear, actionable manner.
  • Train teammates on MicroStrategy and Excel as needed.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure data reproducibility and governance.
