Qualifications

  • Familiarity with data analysis, reporting, and data visualization techniques.
  • Basic SQL knowledge for querying and analyzing data.

Job description

We are looking for a Healthcare Data Analyst to gather and analyze healthcare data from multiple sources (e.g. insurance processing, clinical operations, patient behavior) to extract trends and business insights. To succeed in this role, you should be analytical and resourceful. You should also be an excellent communicator who?s able to tell the story behind raw data to non-technical audiences. If you also have experience in the healthcare industry, we?d like to meet you. Your goal will be to help us operate profitably and streamline our processes to keep patients and employees satisfied. Responsibilities

  • Understand health care operations and systems
  • Create and validate record-keeping processes
  • Pull and integrate data from disparate sources (e.g. cost and claims or clinical data)
  • Evaluate and preprocess raw information
  • Delve into data to discover discrepancies and patterns
  • Build models that capture a wide range of health care operations
  • Present and explain information in an accessible way (e.g budgeting reports)
  • Suggest ways to both increase healthcare quality and reduce costs (e.g. money spent in R&D)
  • Collaborate with management and internal teams to implement and evaluate improvements
Requirements
  • Qualifications
    • Master's degree (or Bachelor's degree with relevant experience) in Health Informatics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Public Health, Mathematics, or a related field.
    • Recent graduates and candidates with 0?2 years of experience are encouraged to apply.
    • Knowledge of healthcare data concepts, healthcare workflows, or Electronic Health Records (EHR) gained through coursework, internships, research, or projects.
    • Familiarity with data analysis, reporting, and data visualization techniques.
    • Basic understanding of SQL for querying and analyzing data.
    • Exposure to ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) concepts through academic or professional projects.
    • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, including Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), is a plus.
    • Experience with analytical tools such as SQL, Excel, SAS, Power BI, Tableau, or Python is preferred.
    • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
    • Strong attention to detail with good organizational and time management skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Internship, capstone project, research assistantship, or academic project involving healthcare or clinical data.
    • Exposure to healthcare standards such as HIPAA, ICD-10, HL7, or FHIR is a plus but not required.
    • Experience creating reports, dashboards, or visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
    • Eagerness to learn and build a career in healthcare analytics.
