Qualifications

• Requires a BS/BA degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
• Substantial analytical experience in the healthcare industry preferred.
• Familiarity with medical management or population health programs and strong understanding of actuarial principles and managed care operations preferred.
• Working knowledge of ICD10, CPT/HCPCS, MS-DRG, DxCG, PMPM, and utilization per 1,000, preferred.
• Advanced SQL and Excel skills preferred.
• Ability to present meaningful results to a business audience, to participate collaboratively in a team tasked to produce complex analyses on a rigorous schedule, and to communicate with strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Proven ability to design modeling studies and experience with data models, addressing data quality issues in study design.

Responsibilities

• Performs established analysis for routine diagnoses of quality, use, cost and other variables for opportunity assessments.
• Develops and analyzes business performance reports (e.g. for claims data, provider data, utilization data) and notes performance deviations and anomalies.
• Creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports.
• Executes identification and stratification algorithm to select the right members for the targeted solution.
• Data analysis and reporting encompasses a much higher level of complexity.
