Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to design and implement analytic applications and reporting tools across a healthcare data platform. You will partner with customers to gather requirements, define specifications, and deliver scalable BI solutions using SQL-based data models.

You will mentor teammates, tune performance of SQL queries, and support integration with other IT teams while promoting data quality and HIPAA compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Requires a BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field and 3+ years on one platform.
• Advanced SQL skills including writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex queries and large data transformations.
• Healthcare data experience and knowledge of HIPAA/PHI/PII requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the design and development lifecycle of analytic applications and reporting tools.
• Establish connectivity to operations source systems and data repositories.
• Develop strategic report applications from the data warehouse using SQL.
• Mentor teammates on coding standards and perform code reviews.
• Perform system testing, fix defects, and re-execute unit tests to validate results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet contracted data requirements.
