Qualifications

• Associate degree and 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to complete Navigator training and certification through Indiana Department of Insurance.
• Experience with health insurance, Medicaid, and ACA Marketplace.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to record/verify information in real time.
• Proficiency with technology, including online applications and web portals.
• Comfort using online meeting platforms.
• Ability to scan, upload, and submit documents accurately and promptly.
• Willingness to travel daily within a designated region.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Strong listening, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Commitment to the mission while complying with regulations.
• Proven ability to work effectively in an 80% remote role.

Responsibilities

• Assist uninsured Hoosiers in finding resources and understanding health coverage programs.
• Explain and communicate health coverage regulations and policies.
• Conduct phone interviews and assessments with applicants, sometimes with an interpreter.
• Upload and submit required documentation through online portals, ensuring accuracy.
• Collaborate with individuals and community groups to improve community health.
• Build expertise and provide training and support to underserved Hoosiers.
• Represent the program at state conferences and community events.
• Complete reports to track progress toward program objectives.
