Qualifications

• Associate degree and 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to complete Navigator certification through the Indiana Department of Insurance.
• Experience with health insurance, Medicaid and the ACA Marketplace.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate real-time information recording.
• Proficiency with online applications and web-based portals.
• Comfort using online meeting platforms.
• Ability to scan, upload and submit documentation promptly.
• Willingness to travel daily within a designated region.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong listening, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Commitment to mission while complying with regulations.
• Proven ability to work in an 80% remote role.
• Preferred: nonprofit social services experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist uninsured Hoosiers find resources and understand healthcare coverage programs.
• Explain and communicate health coverage program regulations and policies.
• Conduct phone interviews and assessments with applicants, occasionally with an interpreter.
• Upload and submit required documentation through online portals with accuracy.
• Collaborate with individuals and community groups to improve community health.
• Build expertise and provide training and support to underserved Hoosiers.
• Represent the program at state conferences and community events.
• Complete reports to track progress toward program objectives.
