Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent related work experience.
• Minimum of one year related experience in preparing foods in large quantities.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and work in a team.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and multitasking.
• Ability to follow sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet schedules.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook resident meals according to menu and number of persons served.
• Prepare meals according to proper methods and cooking temperatures for best yield.
• Clean work area and equipment according to sanitation requirements.
• Serve food according to dietary guidelines and verify tray accuracy.
• Monitor portion control to reduce waste.
• Prepare foods for facility personnel and events as directed.
• Attend in-service education programs to meet facility requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
