Job summary

CORE Construction, Inc. is seeking a Safety Manager for Healthcare Construction to lead safety, health, infection-control and risk-management programs on occupied healthcare projects.

The role requires field leadership, safety plan development, OSHA compliance, and the ability to stop work when risk is unacceptable. You will collaborate with Infection Prevention, facilities, clinical leadership and other stakeholders to protect patients and crews.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction safety experience, including healthcare construction safety.
• Lead Safety Manager experience on healthcare construction projects.
• Experience in occupied/operational hospitals, medical centers, or clinics.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 construction standards and life-safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary field safety leader for healthcare projects and maintain a daily field presence.
• Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific safety plans, ensuring OSHA and owner requirements compliance.
• Conduct inspections, audits, risk assessments, and enforce safety plans and procedures.
• Lead infection-control and healthcare-specific safety requirements, including barriers, dust control, and temporary partitions.
• Lead investigations of incidents and near-misses with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Provide safety orientations, toolbox talks, and training for project teams and subs.
