Job summary

UCHealth is seeking an experienced safety leader to oversee construction safety and healthcare compliance for its capital program at the UCHlth Construction Capital department. The role focuses on safe project execution in occupied healthcare settings.

You will conduct site observations, coordinate corrective actions, and ensure strict adherence to safety plans, infection control, and life-safety requirements across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental health, construction management, engineering, or related field.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification is required.
• 7 years of construction safety, healthcare compliance, or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction safety and compliance oversight for capital projects, including site observations, inspections, and field reviews.
• Identify hazards and coordinate corrective actions with project teams and contractors.
• Oversee implementation of project-specific safety plans, infection control measures, containment practices, and life-safety requirements.
• Support application of healthcare construction safety standards and collaborate with stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
• Develop safety reporting, training, and documentation processes for the capital program.

Education

Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, environmental health, construction management, engineering, or related field

OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification

Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) training

Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) training

7 years of construction safety or healthcare compliance experience
