Job summary

Wolverine Construction is seeking a Project Manager for healthcare construction projects in Lansing, MI. You will oversee work from preconstruction to closeout, coordinate internal teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure strict infection-control standards on active hospital environments.

You will lead bid packages, subcontractor buyout, and contract negotiations while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring high-quality results across multiple concurrent projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading projects within a General Contractor setting.
• Healthcare construction experience required, including work in active facilities.
• Demonstrated ownership of the full construction lifecycle.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities.
• Strong stakeholder management across clients, subs, inspectors, and internal teams.
• High attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Direct internal project teams based on project size and complexity.
• Lead estimating support, bid packages, subcontractor buyout, and contract negotiation.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cost controls.
• Oversee RFI, change orders, and pay applications processes.
• Coordinate with owners, subcontractors, superintendents, and internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare safety and infection control standards.
• Identify risks and solve problems to keep projects on track.
• Deliver an exceptional client experience aligned with the Wolverine Way.
