Job summary

gpac is seeking a Healthcare Superintendent to lead hospital renovations and new healthcare facilities across the Lansing and Grand Rapids markets. You will run day-to-day field operations on healthcare projects, from mobilization through turnover, and serve as the on-site leader for quality and safety.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of commercial healthcare superintendent experience, occupancy in hospitals preferred, and CHC certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
• Healthcare construction experience required, ideally including renovations in occupied hospitals
• Solid knowledge of infection control measures and air pressure requirements in active facilities
• CHC certification is a plus
• Open to projects in both Lansing and Grand Rapids

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day field operations on healthcare projects from mobilization to turnover
• Plan work inside active hospitals with infection control and phasing in mind
• Build and manage the field schedule with every subcontractor on site
• Partner with the Project Manager on progress, open issues and owner updates
• Lead jobsite safety and hold every trade to high quality standards
• Coordinate inspections, punch lists and final closeout
