Job summary

Balfour Beatty Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Fort Worth, TX. This role focuses on healthcare construction projects and supports the Project Manager with administrative and technical requirements.

The APM assists with contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, and project financial projections to ensure projects are completed with quality, profitability, and in line with our Safety/Zero Harm culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related field is required.
• At least 4 years of experience on projects of varying sizes.
• Experience with project management software (Procore, P6, etc.).
• Experience with cost projection, financial analysis, budget reviews, labor reports.
• Experience with JD Edwards or similar construction applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager to determine resources needed, including people, tools, and materials.
• Support preconstruction services, cost information, schedules, and budgets.
• Prepare bid packages and subcontract scopes of work; set up pre-work meetings and minutes.
• Ensure compliance with owner contracts, bonds, fees, notifications, and reporting.
• Help manage submittals and communications with suppliers and subcontractors to meet schedules.
• Participate in project closeout, financial settlements, demobilization, and transition to the customer.
