Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Project Manager for Healthcare Construction in Kansas City, MO. The role directs overall project execution with the Project Superintendent, building client relationships and coordinating design teams and subcontractors.

Responsibilities include safety leadership, preconstruction support, schedule and budget management, subcontractor coordination, and timely reporting. Travel and non-traditional hours may be required to meet project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 5+ years construction management experience.
• Valid and unrestricted drivers license required
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• May require periods of travel and/or relocation
• Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs
• May be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold)

Responsibilities

• Leads all aspects of safety culture and creates awareness by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment.
• Manages the JE Dunn prestart process.
• Supports preconstruction team including quantity takeoff, trade coordination and scope development.
• Leads plan and implementation of buyout schedule and manages issuance of subcontracts.
• Manages the submittal schedule and reviews shop drawings.
• Coordinates with stakeholders; ensures submittals are returned per schedule.
• Gathers and evaluates subcontractor pricing for change requests.
• Leads monthly project reviews and meetings.
• Prepares project schedule with the Project Superintendent and updates it.
• Provides written documentation for decisions affecting budget, schedule, legal, quality, or safety.
• Produces regular project status and profitability reports.
