Job summary
STO Building Group is seeking a fit Superintendent to oversee daily job-site operations, scheduling, production, and material procurement on healthcare construction projects in Thousand Oaks, CA. The role includes supervising direct labor, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring safety and quality standards while managing costs.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5+ years of commercial healthcare construction experience, and proficiency with CMiC.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction related field or equivalent; 5+ years commercial construction experience.
- Experience within healthcare construction required.
- Experience leading field teams on healthcare projects.
- HCAI/OSHPD background required.
- Strong communication and people leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan procedures for construction based on specs and staffing needs.
- Coordinate project schedule and develop look-ahead schedules.
- Coordinate pre-construction meetings with Project Manager.
- Direct procurement of tools and materials per work schedules.
- Keep all parties informed of construction progress and issues.
- Move personnel between projects to optimize labor costs.
