Job summary

South Western Communications seeks a Healthcare Technician 2 to install, troubleshoot and maintain electronic communication systems. The role involves VOIP, SIP, computer and networking systems with a focus on minimizing downtime and maximizing performance.

The technician communicates system performance to customers, handles on-call duties, and trains customers on equipment use, following safety programs and job standards.

Qualifications

• Two-year electronics degree or equivalent with 3+ years in related field desirable.
• Experience with VoIP, telephony, data networks, wireless data, fire alarms, CCTV, sound systems, or nurse call applications preferred.
• Cisco and Microsoft certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Final hookup and programming of electronics equipment for new jobs.
• Respond to customer service-related issues promptly.
• Test and document readings for customer’s systems.
• Update customer files.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic components.
• On-call duties on a regular schedule.
• Train the customer on proper use of equipment.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
