Job summary

Piedmont Cartersville is seeking a dedicated operator to manage the hospital's multi-line PBX, provide routine information, and route calls to the correct departments. The role includes operating the facility paging system and quickly responding to codes and alarms to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities also cover handling Emergency Communication equipment to coordinate with hospital staff across locations and with local and state agencies as needed.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year PBX experience preferred.
• Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred.
• None required for licenses or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple-call telephone switchboard system; provide routine information as needed and route calls to appropriate person or location.
• Operate facility-wide paging system and respond to codes and alarms in a timely manner.
• Operate Emergency Communication equipment to communicate with hospital staff at all locations plus local and state agencies.
