UNC Health's Pardee UNC Health Care in North Carolina is seeking a Credentialed Coding Specialist to code patient charts in line with AHIMA/AAPC/CMS guidelines and ensure accurate reimbursements.

The role involves reviewing documentation, assigning ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes, auditing accounts, and training staff. Requires RHIT/RHIA/CCS/CPC credentials, an Associate's degree, and one year of coding experience. Onsite, full-time, 40 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or combination of experience and education.
• Current RHIT/RHIA/CCS/CPC credential required.
• One year of medical coding experience.

Responsabilités

• Review documentation and abstract diagnoses, procedures, and services for coding.
• Assign ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes and validate for proper reimbursement.
• Perform audits and research coding issues to resolve accounts.
• Provide training and guidance to other coders and department staff.
• Keep up to date with coding guidelines and regulations.
